Overview
Sarah joins us from the University of Massachusetts, where she majored in Anthropology and minored in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Sarah intends to study how expressions of gender shifted in the late 19th and early 20th century through the lens of fashion and textiles. Several years of work as a seamstress apprentice provided relevant skills and knowledge concerning clothing production and the connections among fashion, textiles, and gender identity. Sarah also participated in the Belize Archaeological Project through the University of Texas, Austin.
